Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 19, 2026Effective: October 19, 2026

The short version

  • Brolift has no accounts. You don’t sign up, and we don’t have a copy of your workouts.
  • Your workouts, photos and measurements are stored on your iPhone and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud. We can’t read either.
  • Heart rate and energy come from Apple Health, only with your permission. Brolift reads Health data; it never writes to it.
  • Workout generation runs on your iPhone with Apple Intelligence. What you type is not sent to us or to anyone else.
  • If you share a workout, a read-only copy is stored in your iCloud, and only the Apple Accounts you invite can open it.
  • There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking in the app, and we never sell data.

1. Introduction

POWERUP GAMING LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “our”), makes the Brolift workout-tracking app for iPhone and the website at brolift.app (together, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, where it is stored, who can see it, and the choices you have.

This policy describes Brolift 2.0 and later. Earlier versions of Brolift worked differently; if you used one, see section 8 and section 9.

2. Where your data lives

Brolift stores everything you log on your iPhone, using Apple’s on-device database. If you are signed in to iCloud, the app keeps a copy in your private iCloud database so your workouts sync between your devices and are backed up.

Your private iCloud database belongs to your Apple Account. Apple stores and protects it under the Apple Privacy Policy, and we (the developer) cannot access it. Brolift does not run its own servers for your data.

If you are not signed in to iCloud, your data stays on that iPhone only. The app shows a “Not backed up” notice when this is the case, and Settings › Account › Backup & Storage shows your current storage status.

3. Information the app handles

All of the following stays on your iPhone and in your iCloud, as described above:

  • Workouts: exercises, sets, reps, weights, timers, notes, RPE, the date and time you lifted, and the personal records calculated from them.
  • Planned workouts and any custom exercises you create.
  • Body measurements you choose to log, such as body weight and arm or waist size.
  • Photos and videos you attach to workouts. The app opens your photo library only when you choose to attach something, and copies only the items you pick into Brolift.
  • Settings such as your theme and the Dashboard stats you pick.
  • Your profile name and picture, if you imported them from an older Brolift account before that import was removed.

4. Apple Health

With your permission, Brolift can read the following from Apple Health so it can show heart rate and energy on your workouts:

  • Heart rate
  • Active energy burned
  • Resting (basal) energy burned
  • Step count
  • Exercise time
  • Workouts

Brolift does not write anything to Apple Health. When you add Apple Health readings to a workout, they are saved with that workout on your iPhone and in your private iCloud. They are never sent to us.

Our Apple Health commitments

  • Health data is not used for advertising or marketing.
  • Health data is never sold or disclosed to third parties for advertising, data mining or similar purposes.
  • Health data is used only to show your own health and fitness information inside Brolift.
  • Health data is not used for workout generation (see section 5).

You can change or revoke Brolift’s access at any time in the Health app, or in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Health.

5. Workout generation (Apple Intelligence)

On iPhones that support Apple Intelligence, you can describe a workout in a sentence and Brolift builds it for you. This runs entirely on your iPhone using Apple’s on-device model. To suggest sensible weights, the model is also given your best lifts for up to 12 exercises. None of this, nor the text you type, is sent to us or to any third party.

Generated workouts can be inaccurate or unsuitable for you, and are not medical advice. See our Terms & Conditions for the full fitness disclaimer.

6. Shared workouts

You can share a workout with a friend from the workout’s ••• menu. You enter the email address or phone number of your friend’s Apple Account, and send them a brolift.app link from the share sheet. Your friend opens the link in a web browser and signs in with that Apple Account to see the workout. Only the Apple Accounts you invite can open it; anyone else who signs in is refused.

Your friend sees a read-only copy of the workout: its name and date, the exercises, sets, reps, weights, time, RPE, PRs and set notes, and your name if your Brolift profile has one. Heart rate, calories, photos and videos are not included. Later edits to the workout don’t update the copy; sharing it again refreshes it.

The copy is stored in your iCloud through Apple’s CloudKit sharing. Brolift’s servers never receive it. The email address or phone number you enter is sent to Apple only to find that Apple Account. The part of the link that identifies the workout comes after a “#”, so it never reaches the servers that host this website (see section 15).

Tapping Share on a workout you have already shared shows who it is shared with. Stop sharing removes everyone’s access, and deleting the workout also stops sharing it.

7. What we do not collect

Brolift 2.0 does not include, and does not collect:

  • accounts, user names or passwords;
  • analytics, usage tracking or advertising SDKs;
  • advertising identifiers, or tracking across other apps and websites;
  • your location, contacts or browsing history;
  • crash-reporting services of our own.

If you choose to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may give us anonymous, aggregated usage figures and crash reports through App Store Connect. These do not identify you.

8. Older Brolift accounts

Earlier versions of Brolift stored workouts in an online account. Before the latest version, Brolift 2.0 could import that account: you signed in to it with Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, and those providers gave the app your name and email address (Apple may give a private relay address instead). The app used that sign-in only to read your old profile, workouts, planned workouts, measurements, custom exercises, and photos and videos from our legacy servers, copied them onto your iPhone and into your iCloud, and then signed out.

The latest version of Brolift no longer offers this import or these sign-in options, and the app no longer contains Google Firebase. If you have questions about an old account, email support@brolift.app.

On October 19, 2026 we deleted our legacy servers (the Google Firebase project behind earlier versions), including every old account and all of its data. It cannot be recovered. Anything you imported before then stays on your iPhone and in your iCloud. Google removes deleted data from its own systems on its own schedule.

9. Earlier versions of Brolift

Versions of Brolift before 2.0 (including any Android version) used Google Firebase to run accounts and store data in the United States. Those versions collected:

  • account information (name, email, profile photo) and the workouts, measurements, photos and social content you created;
  • usage and diagnostic data through Firebase Analytics, and a push notification token through Firebase Cloud Messaging;
  • in version 1.3, the text you type into its AI workout feature, which is sent to Google’s Gemini model through Firebase AI Logic and handled under the Gemini API Additional Terms of Service.

All of that data was deleted on October 19, 2026, as described in section 8, and those versions no longer work because the servers they relied on are gone.

10. How information is shared

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it for advertising. Information is handled by others only in these cases:

  • People you share a workout with can see the read-only copy described in section 6.
  • Apple stores your private iCloud copy, provides Apple Health and Apple Intelligence, and handles CloudKit sharing for workouts you share. Apple’s privacy policy applies to those services.
  • Cloudflare hosts this website (see section 15).
  • Legal and safety: we may disclose information we hold if required by law, or to protect someone’s safety. For Brolift 2.0 we hold no workout or Health data to disclose.

11. Deleting your data

  • In the app: Settings › Account › Backup & Storage › Delete iCloud Data (Delete All Data if iCloud is not syncing). If you use iCloud, this deletes your Brolift data from iCloud and from every device signed in to that Apple Account. It cannot be undone.
  • In iCloud: iOS Settings › [your name] › iCloud, then manage your iCloud storage and choose Brolift.
  • Deleting the app removes the copy on that iPhone. Your iCloud copy remains until you delete it as above.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict how it is used, and to withdraw consent. For Brolift 2.0, you can view, edit and delete your data directly in the app. For anything else, contact us at support@brolift.app.

EU, EEA and UK: you may lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

California (CCPA / CPRA): you have the right to know, delete and correct personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

13. Children’s privacy

Brolift is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us at support@brolift.app and we will delete it. In EU countries that set a higher age, that age applies.

14. Third-party services

  • Apple: iCloud (including CloudKit sharing), Apple Health and Apple Intelligence
  • Cloudflare: Cloudflare Pages, which hosts this website

Brolift 2.0 uses Apple’s background notifications only so iCloud can keep your devices in sync. It does not send you marketing or promotional notifications.

15. Website

The Brolift website (brolift.app) does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics. If that changes, we will update this section and, where required, ask for consent first.

The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. When you visit brolift.app, Cloudflare receives normal web request data, such as your IP address and your browser’s user agent, and handles it under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. In a shared-workout link, the workout’s id comes after a “#”, so it never reaches Cloudflare’s servers.

The website has no forms. If you email support@brolift.app, we use your address and message only to reply to you.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we will tell you in the app or on this site before they take effect.

17. Contact us

If you have questions about this policy or your data, email us at support@brolift.app. Brolift is operated by POWERUP GAMING LLC.
